Abstract：
Bioinformatics, some call it computational biology, others call it biological computing, has been a booming and sometimes controversial field for the past decade. In this talk we will discuss the many facets of bioinformatics, including its basics, its applications, its past and future. This discussion will not be conducted strictly from a pure scientific and academic point of view to review bioinformatics� many theories and algorithms, but rather the real-world experience from the perspective of someone who has been using, teaching, and selling bioinformatics all over the world in the past decade.
