Title: Special values of L-functions and algebraic cycles
Abstract: In number theory, L-functions are complex functions defined by certain Dirichlet series. The most famous example is the Riemann zeta function. It is believed that values of L-functions at integers should be related to the existence of special algebraic cycles or elements in K-groups. We will give some examples in this talk.
