Quantum Control and Quantum Information Processing based on Degenerate Quantum Gases in Optical Lattices
Abstract:
I discuss prospects to investigate universality in few-body bosonic and fermionic systems in the quantum threshold regime. In particular, we have identified new spectroscopic tools to explore the quantum universality emerging with a designated number of atoms and molecules, ratcheting our comprehension from a single atom to many. Among other future directions, a novel optical lattice architecture which permits a scalable quantum control and quantum information processing on two atomic species will be described. Possible limitations and technical challenges, and remedies based on precision quantum control of atoms will be discussed.
