主題：An Intellectual Exploration Abroad and Back: A Personal Account

Abstract：
Like many Taiwanese college graduates of my time, I traveled far and long to pursue higher learning in the States with great uncertainties and anxieties.  Some years later, after going through graduate school, postdoctoral training, and tenure-track  faculty position, I returned again to the root where the journey began.  In this talk, I shall share with you some of the roads that I have trodden, wishing these stories, which can be fun and even outrageous, may be of use to you. If not, I hope the talk will, at the minimum, prove to be somewhat amusing and entertaining.
