The first edition has been reviewed [1984, MR0736837]. Inspection of the table of contents of the second edition indicates three new sections: §18.4 on multivectors, §23.2 on the exponential function of a vector field, and §24.4 on left-invariant vector fields on transformation groups. These sections amount to about four pages (in a text of roughly 260 pages) and appear to account for the discrepancy in pagination as compared with the first edition. The bibliographies are identical; the only other change noticed is the change from ``Killing metric'' to ``invariant metric'' in Chapter 24. A cursory comparison of the two editions reveals an otherwise identical text. There is no new preface to the second edition. All of which hardly amounts to the substantial revision advertised on the back cover!
