The first third of this book contains the classical theory of functions. The second third is devoted to general topology, and the last third to abstract treatments of measure and integration. The reader is assumed to have an elementary knowledge of real numbers, continuous functions, Riemann integration, and modern algebra. Many specific suggestions for collateral reading are given. This textbook was designed for, and seems well adapted to, a basic graduate course.
