Apart from applying for general scholarships provided by the university, students in this department may also apply for the five kinds of scholarships listed below which are specially provided for them. In addition graduate students may also receive a graduate student bursary; they may be teaching assistants as part of the teaching improvement program supported by the Office of Academic Affairs; they may also be research assistants as part of a professor's research program funded by the National Science Council.
