Welcome

The Mathematics Department was established in 1946. The Master Program and Ph. D. program started in 1960 and 1976, respectively. The department now has 39 faculties, 20 adjunct professors, 182 undergraduate students, 49 MS graduate students, and 7 Ph. D. graduate students.

Each year, the department offers about 100 courses, 50 of them are Calculus, another 50 are mathematical courses ranging from pure math to applied math.

The research areas of faculty members include commutative algebra, ring theory, number theory and its applications, differential geometry and topology, analysis and partial differential equations, computational and applied mathematics, statistical sciences. During the past fifty years, this department has educated many international well-known mathematicians, including three National Academicians.
