常微分方程導論   (89年度 上學期)

這是一門初步的數值分析課。課程的目標在於介紹數值方法以處理當解（solution）無法以理論型式（analytic expressioniO）表達時的 若干數學問題。在本學期中我們將探究： Computer arithmetic Solutions of scalar nonlinear equations Solutions of linear system of equations Solutions of nonlinear system of equations Solutions of ordinary differential equations 在下學期中我們將討論數值方法以求解偏微分方程 (partial differential equations)課程將著重於對所探究數值方法的理論分析(error analysis)與實際問題的數值運算。欲修習的學生需具備基本數學分析的能力及編寫電腦程式 (/eg, Fortran or c)的技巧。課程中亦會使用到一些數學軟體如Matlab, Mathematica, or Maple.
